Triple 7s Is Big Jackpot Online Blackjack
In the last decade or so, since the advent of online gambling, the conventional game of blackjack has given birth to many junior blackjack variants. These variations are all based on the traditional game and usually introduce little twists and turns that make the new blackjack game just a bit more interesting and, hopefully, more profitable than regular blackjack.
How to Play Triple 7s Blackjack
Triple 7s Blackjack is one of these new blackjack games. Based on standard blackjack, Triple 7s Blackjack has a side bet that makes the player eligible for a progressive jackpot. To win the Triple 7s progressive jackpot, you must get three diamond 7s in a row and they have to be your first three cards — not likely but an exciting thing to hope for.
Triple 7s Blackjack is played with five standard decks of cards that are shuffled before each game. The more decks the better, because it means more 7-of-diamonds out there. The side bet is compulsory — it is automatically set for the player. Like all games of online blackjack, the goal is to beat the dealer's hand without going over 21 or by the dealer going "bust".
7s and Diamonds are the Keys to the Jackpot in Triple 7s
In Triple 7s Blackjack, the dealer has to stand on all 17s and he has to hit on 16. Splitting and re-splitting is allowed; aces can be re-split, as well. In Triple 7s Blackjack, you cannot split a 10 and a face card even though they have the same value; only identical cards (2 queens, for instance, or two 5s) can be split. Doubling down is allowed only on cards with a value of 9, 10, and 11, and you can't double after splitting. Aces can be worth either 1 or 11; face cards have a value of 10.
The maximum number of cards in a hand is 11. If you don't go over 21 after holding 11 cards, you must stand. An ace and a 10 card is a blackjack (also called a "natural"). If you are lucky enough to be dealt a blackjack, you automatically stand — a natural cannot be beaten, only matched. If both you and the dealer have blackjack, it's called a "push," and you are paid out your original bet amount.
The payouts in Triple 7s Blackjack are as follows: blackjack pays 3:2; a winning insurance bet pays 2:1; and any winning non-natural hand doubles the player's original bet. Although 3 consecutive diamond 7s wins the big jackpot, the side bet makes you eligible for smaller pots, as well, with other combinations. For instance, a 7 of clubs and a 3 of clubs will pay 5:1; a 7 of clubs, 7 of diamonds and 7 of hearts will instantly pay a whopping 250:1. These and other combinations add a slot-like quality to Triple 7s — they triple the pleasure and quadruple the fun.
Go for the Money
In most online blackjack games, the best you can hope for is to win slowly and consistently. A $10 bet on a winning blackjack hand will win you an additional $10. A blackjack will occasionally win you $15. But Triple 7s Blackjack is the only blackjack game in the online casino that gives you a chance to win a really big sum of money all at once. It doesn't happen often, but it could happen to you. So play Triple 7s online blackjack, and go for the money!
