About the Game of Sic-BoSic-Bo is a table game of chance which is widely played and highly popular in Asian countries. It originated in ancient China over a thousand years ago and was introduced in the western world with the large Chinese immigration to the U.S. in the early 1900's. It has now become a standard, though lesser known, casino table game and is usually located in casino areas designated for Asian games.
The name Sic-Bo means "two bricks" which is probably what was used in ancient China for play. The "two bricks" evolved into "dice pair" with the advent of numbered dice. Today's casino game uses three dice to play. The game is played with three dice and a table displaying a variety of betting options on the outcome of the roll of those dice. Payouts are marked on the table and the winning zones light up brightly.
Some Tips for Playing Sic-BoTip #1 - The player should always check out the odds and the house advantage for each of the different types of bets. One down feature of Sic-Bo is that the house advantage is relatively high for most of the bets. This means that despite attractive odds, winnings may be low.
Tip #2 - This is probably the most important tip for the game. The Small (on number totals from 4 to 10) and Large (on number totals of 11 to 17) bets have the lowest and most attractive house advantage (around 3%). Therefore, it is wise to stick to these bets.
Tip #3 - Multiple bets may be made by the player, so that he should choose at least one additional bet to the Small and Large.
Since Sic-Bo is a game of chance, meaning that it is all in the luck of the rolling dice, there is very little advice which can be offered to the player. In addition to giving you a chance to win some money, it offers a lot of entertainment, and many players find it exciting. Give Sic-Bo a try and see why this game is one of the most popular Microgaming casino games of 2006 at All Jackpots Casino!
